Texas Neighborhood Terrorized By Massive Alligator
Texas is of course known for all things big. That apparently includes random alligators walking through a neighborhood.
According to the Dallas Morning News a huge alligator with three legs was caught walking around early Sunday morning. One resident told KTRK that he had seen the alligator the night before.
“I saw his eyes. I didn’t see him, I saw his eyes. So, it made me do a U-turn, and then when I did the U-turn, I drove slow, and then I saw him,” Greigg told KTRK-TV. “He was ginormous. He was huge. I’ve never seen one that big up close.”
The Dallas Morning News reported that it took a gator wrangler three hours to capture. The gator was 11 feet long and weighed in at 1,200 pounds. The most impressive number? Officials estimate the gator is about 85 years old.
Timothy DeRamus, known as Houston’s “gator wrangler,” arrived about an hour later. It took DeRamus about three hours to capture the gator, which clocked in at 11 feet long and 1,200 pounds. Officials estimated the gator, which is missing part of its front right leg, is about 85 years old.
Below is a video of the gator being lifted onto a truck.
That's one gator I wouldn't want to mess around with. Come to think of it, I don't know think I'd want to mess around with any gator.
The alligator was reportedly taken to Gator Country located in Beaumont. Gator Country is a park and sanctuary.
