The Smith County jail has 19 job openings

If you're looking for a job (and can pass ab background check lol) the SMith County jail is hiring!

Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith says that there are 19 job openings this week at the county jail, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph. There is some compeition though, twenty-three people have begun the application process already, including submitting their application or getting background checks. Hiring new employees is important to the jail's bottom line since this fiscal year alone, it has spent $86,168 on overtime pay, more than half of the budgeted $165,000.
