The Texas Bourbon Shootout Will Be In Longview In February
Texas distilleries brewing up the brown colored liquor in wooden barrels will be fighting it out to be named the best bourbon in Texas.
The East Texas Bourbon Society will be judging Texas distilled bourbon from ten distilleries from across the state of Texas in the inaugural Texas Bourbon Shootout in Longview on Friday, February 1st. To make it more of an intimate affair, there are only 250 tickets available for the event that gives attendees the opportunity to taste bourbon from the contest entries, while event host, Jim Murray tells the story of each bourbon whiskey.
The event benefits Longview World Of Wonders, a hands on discovery center and museum for children in Longview. So if you're a bourbon aficionado or new to bourbon, you'll want to get your tickets quick.
If you miss out on this event, there's the annual Bourbon & Bowties event happening at Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview on Saturday, February 1st that features over 100 different bourbons to sample. This event also helps out Longview World Of Wonders.
