Tyler Man Indicted for 2009 Drugging, Rape
A Tyler man, who is accused of drugging and raping woman in 2009, has been indicted. The victim was a John Tyler student, according to EastTexasMatters.com. Robert Robinson has indicted by a Smith County grand jury in the crime. He is accused of sexually assaulting the student and impregnating her. Robinson is suing the victim suing for custody of the child. The alleged attack happened on March 29, 2009, when the victim was 15 years old and Robertson was 52-years-old. She says he gave her a beer. She woke up, after feeling drugged, with Robinson on top of her. He has been charged with sexual assault of a child. If convicted of the second-degree felony, he faces up to 20 years in prison. He is due in court on December 16.
