If you are thinking about flying the friendly skies through United Airlines it may cost you a little more than usual.

According to Fox News, the airline has found a new way to get more money out of people by charging more fees for economy seats near the front of the aircraft.

The fees are a reflection of the fact that seats near the front are considered more desirable than the seats in the back because they give easier access for entering and exiting the plane.

These so called “preferred” seats offer no additional perks like legroom or anything else, but this move will put United with fellow competitors American Airlines, and Delta Airlines who already charge extra for reserving economy seats near the front per USA Today.

A United Airlines officials said the policy will go into effect later in the year.
