USA Defeats Ghana 2-1 in Group G Debut

East Texas' own Clint Dempsey scored in the first 30 seconds of the game against Ghana to become the fastest to score in World Cup history, and John Brooks helped team USA with a 2-1 win to open the World Cup on Monday.

USA is tied with Germany for the lead in Group C in Cup competition.
