Walmart Apologizes For Offensive ‘Hero’ Sign In One Of Their Stores
From NBC 14 News, Walmart is investigating a photo that is giving the chain a negative look on social media. There is a sign reading: “Own The School Year Like A Hero” which wouldn't normally be a bad idea, but it’s sitting on top of a case filled with guns at an Evansville, Indiana location. Needless to say, it's put some customers in an uproar.

Walmart spokesman Charles Crowson told members of the media including KLTV:
The Company hasn’t determined which store might have been responsible to place the signs over the guns , or even if the photo is real. We are exploring all possibilities including whether an employee unintentionally placed the sign as a prank or if the image was edited to show something that doesn’t exist.
A Walmart representative said they will remove the sign.
