We May See Some Snow Accumulation in East Texas Early This Week
Say it isn’t so East Texas! From our media partner KLTV, a winter storm watch has been issued beginning Monday night through Tuesday. The northern counties of East Texas under the warning could see snow accumulation between 1 and 3 inches!
Here is what to expect during the warning:
On Monday night cold rain will enter the area turning into a mix of rain/sleet, but it won’t last long as it may turn into snow - which could accumulate and possibly affect travel. On Tuesday morning the snow will shift deep into East Texas near daytime and last until the late hours in the afternoon before moving south. Finally, on Wednesday and Thursday hazardous road conditions from slush refreezing could make traveling conditions unsafe though temps will be above freezing by Thursday.
Please still remain cautious while traveling.
Prepare to leave early for work to give yourself extra time to arrive safely. Also, check in with the elderly, dress appropriately and bring your pets inside.
