When Using Uber or Lyft, Where Do You Sit? [POLL]
Ride sharing services are on the rise and offer a new form of transportation over traditional taxi services and with this comes an interesting question when catching a ride from services like Uber, Lyft and others.
I can probably count on two hands the number of times I've been in a taxi, it's probably about eight times, all of which were in New York City when I went to visit my brother years ago. After hailing a cab and picking you up, you just open the back passenger door, hop in and you're on the way to your destination. I never thought about getting in the front seat with the driver because they had that weird plexiglass partition and seeing people get in cabs on TV and in movies they always got in the back seat!
Now with other transportation options available like Uber and Lyft, people use their own cars to take others around town and there's not that weird plexiglass thing between you and the driver and it's someone's personal car. So I had this weird thought about catching a ride using these new services:
