It's officially summer and you may be going stir crazy in your home with kiddos. Even if you're not just in your home and trying to find things to do - safely - with your little ones, there's a chance you could be getting tired of the same ol' thing. Well if you're up for a little road trip out of East Texas, I may have just the thing.

Did you know that the world's longest lazy river is right here in Texas? Yep! In Waco, the lazy river at BSR Cable Park & Surf Resort is a whopping 5,280 feet long. It's a mile of relaxation in beautiful Central Texas.

The park is open all day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and of course the resort is practicing safe practices during this COVID-19 time. The park is only operating at 50% capacity, requiring that all guests wear masks (unless you're in the water), and practicing social distancing. Any guest that violates these terms will be asked to leave the park.

If you want a little more excitement in your day, BSR also offers a huge water slide that catapults you into water. There's a manmade beach to relax on as well, along with a giant surf park that will have you California dreamin' (or maybe Hawaii dreamin').

Taking the family doesn't look like it will break the bank either. It costs $25/day for a lazy river pass, or $35 for the lazy river and the slides.
