69-Year-Old Man Sues To Lower His Age 20 Years

Is this man crazy or really smart?

A 69-year-old man from The Netherlands is taking matters into his own hands. He's decided to sue in order to lower his age to 49.

According to the Huffington Post, Emile Ratelband who is a motivational speaker and media personality says that he lives in a society where people can change their genders so why not his age?

Ratelband's theory is if he was to change his age, he would have better luck at dating, getting jobs and making large purchases.  Didn't you accomplish this 20 years ago already?

You can change your name.  You can change your gender.  Why not your age?  He believes he is a "young god" and should have the age to fit his physique, of which he think is amazing.

When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work. When I’m on Tinder and it says I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.

Ratelman said he would give up his pension if the court ruled in his favor, since he would no longer need it as a 49-year-old man.

The Arnheim city court will deliver a decision on the case this month.
