B.A.P.S. Star Natalie Desselle Reid Has Passed Away
We started the week by receiving some sad news from the world of entertainment as word quickly spread across social media about the sudden passing of a beloved actress.
According to CNN, Actress Natalie Desselle Reid, well known as the one of the stars of the movie B.A.P.S. and Def Jam's "How To Be A Player" passed away on Monday after a battle with colon cancer. She was 53 years old.
Reid is originally from Alexandria, Louisiana who also attended Grambling State University and went on to become a respected actress, landing her first role in 1996's "Set It Off". A year later she would earn her first starring role alongside Halle Berry in B.A.P.S. and she would also go on in that same year to star in "How To Be A Player".
She also appeared in many TV sitcoms including "Eve" and TV dramas like "ER".
She leaves behind her husband Leonard Reid and 3 children. We send our heartfelt condolences to the Desselle and Reid Families.
