Courts Reinstates Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliott’s Suspension

A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of the NFL last week in Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott’s case, effectively reinstating his six-game suspension by commissioner Roger Goodell.

Elliott was suspended before the season after an investigation into domestic violence allegations by his former girlfriend. The players’ union challenged the suspension in court, saying it didn't follow due process, and got an injunction last month.

So far this season Elliott has 393 rushing yards in the four games this season for the Cowboys.  With Dallas being on a bye week, Alfred Morris, Darren McFadden, and Rod Smith are prepared to take over for Elliott.
