#GivingTuesday: Tackles 4 Cancer

Former NFL player Dominic Austin, who played 3 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, is also a cancer survivor who discovered he had a form of the deadly disease after his playing career had come to an end.

it was while he was getting treatment that he discovered a huge problem, many cancer patients are forced to cancel or reschedule treatment often because they don't have transportation or they are dealing with a financial hardship that prevents them from getting treated, which in turn, could lead to deadlier consequences down the road.

That's why Austin created "Tackles 4 Cancer" whose mission is to improve the quality of life for cancer patients through transportation through fundraising and community building events.

Austin's story also inspired cultural icon Beyonce who has featured him and Tackles 4 Cancer as part of her #BeyGood campaign which has allocated millions of dollars to various causes working to improve conditions in minority communities.

On this #GivingTuesday, Melz On The MIC spent some time to talk to Dominic about Tackles 4 Cancer but first, we discuss his playing career, his journey and battle with cancer and shares the story on what inspired him to create Tackles 4 Cancer and what you can do to donate.
