It Is Finished! After 8 Seasons Dez Bryant Is Released From The Dallas Cowboys
Today is a sad day in NFL sports especially for the people of Dallas as news broke out that after 8 seasons Dez Bryant was cut from the Dallas Cowboys on Friday (April 13th).
CBS Sports reports, the all pro wide receiver had nothing but nice words for Jerry Jones, the Cowboys organization and the fan base. However, he feels that some of his teammates wanted him released which might have played a part of the decision.
I won't put no names out, but they know and I want them to know. I know.
In 2014 season Dez signed a five-year contract for $70 million after he put up 41 total touchdowns from 2012-14 averaging 1,312 receiving yards per season. He was also a member of the first team All-Pro selection and had a NFL best 16 touchdowns.
After the past three years, he was averaging 678 yards per season and he also missed 10 games after being injured and only pulled in 17 touchdowns, but the writing was on the wall after the Cowboys added receivers Allen Hurns, and Deonte Thompson to the roster.
Now that Dez is a free agent the NFL sources are speculating where he will land, but Dez made it clear that he wants to play where he will face the Cowboys twice a year.
Only time will tell where Dez will end up, but I would like to thank Dez for your years of service in Dallas. You were a great player and I know you will do well on your next journey.
