James Fortune Sentenced To 5 Days In Jail

Back in October 2014, Gospel singer, James Fortune and his wife has a very bad altercation that involved domestic violence. Well here we are 2 years later and he is just now being sentenced. Yesterday, James he plead guilty to a third degree felony assault charge.

According the ABC-13 Houston News James “struck his wife with a wooden vanity stool, kicked her and threw her against a wall one night inside their Stafford, Texas home.”

James was sentenced to 5 days in jail, 5 years probation, go to batters intervention and complete 175 hours of community service. His wife agreed to the plea deal so their children would not have to testify.
