Jarvis Christian College Appoints New VP of Student Services

Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas is excited to  announce  Dr. Andre Richardson as Vice President of Student Services.  Dr. Richardson began his his position at Jarvis Christian College officially on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Dr. Richardson is originally from Henderson, North Carolina and has been an educator for 23 years, serving in Higher Education, PK-12 Education, and the U.S. Department of Education. He is coming to Jarvis Christian College from the University of North Carolina System Office where he was the  Adult and Higher Education Specialist. He has served in senior student affairs positions as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Livingstone College and Dean of Students and Residential Life at Saint Augustine’s University. Dr. Richardson also served in the U.S. Navy, and he was deployed for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, prior to attending college.

Dr. Richardson has a PhD in Leadership Studies (Higher Education focus) from North Carolina A&T State University, a master’s degree in English Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Shaw University. As Vice President for Student Services, Dr. Richardson will provide leadership and vision for the continuous improvement for that area and will be instrumental in positioning the College to achieve its strategic goals, including the development of a top-quality student experience with a focus on service and academic excellence. He is a welcomed addition to the Jarvis Christian College leadership team. Please help us welcome Dr. Richardson to Jarvis Christian College.
