Missouri Woman Loses Job Racial Profiling Apartment Tenant

What is with white men and women constantly calling the police on African American’s lately?

It seems as if we can’t barbecue, sell lemonade, rest in a study hall in school, a kid’s backpack brushing up against a woman on accident and most recently enter our own apartment complex because they have a sense of entitlement and assume we don’t belong.

According to the Huffington Post, D’Arreion Toles was arriving at this apartment complex in downtown St. Louis when a white woman by the name of Hilary Brooke Mueller stopped him at the door preventing him from entering.

Toles took out his cellphone and recorded the incident to where Mueller drilling him with questions and even saying she felt “uncomfortable” as she followed him to the elevator and even to his front door.

Once Toles arrived at this apartment and opened his door she immediately tried to spark a conversation and wanted to get to know her neighbor.

Mueller’s employer Tribeca Luxury Apartments which is minority owned has fired her and released a statement on the incident:

The Tribeca-STL family is a minority-owned company that consists of employees and residents from many racial backgrounds,” it said. “We are proud of this fact and do not and never will stand for racism or racial profiling at our company. After a review of the matter the employee has been terminated and is no longer with our company.

I would like to commend D’Arreion for being calm during the encounter because honestly I wouldn’t have been too kind and would have said something to the woman in which I would have had to pray and apologize to my parents for such language.

However, this is troubling because this seems to happen on the regular to which there is such boldness to harass and racial profile African American’s and no one is being held accountable.

Yeah individuals have gotten fired from jobs and quick to say “I’m not racist”, but to make false accusations against African Americans like that could have ended very differently as history has shown us.

Some African Americans are known for taking the high road when it comes to certain acts of , but I fear sooner than later it will take a turn for the worse with retaliation and make matters worse.

We are not our ancestors.
