NBA Season Suspended After Two Utah Jazz Players Test Positive For Coronavirus
The coronavirus has shut down the NBA as the league suspended the season after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a video with the media Gobert "carelessly" touched all the microphones mocking the virus and touched his teammates and their belongings.
According to ESPN, the league released a statement on their decision,
The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.
The game between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder was canceled once the positive test result came before the start of the game and the match up between the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings was also postponed because one of the referees worked a game in Utah on Monday.
The other four games were played out and the suspension took place immediately after the games.
It is also being reported from CBS Sports, that fellow Utah Jazz player Donovan Mitchell as also contracted the coronavirus.
The NBA season is suspended until further notice.
