Like everything in the social media age, things that start out as lighthearted fun almost always turns into annoyance and stupidity quickly. Such is the case of the "Great Chicken Wars of 2019".

With a single tweet yesterday, Popeyes may have put this insanity to an end according to CNN. The company announced that they have SOLD OUT of the sandwich nationwide but they are bringing it back to remain on the menu permanently (as soon as yall calm down).

Thank goodness Central Texas was one of the early "test markets" because I had the sandwich about a month ago at the Belton and Harker Heights locations (notice I said I had it TWICE) but the recent reaction to this caused me to repent and go back to Chick-Fil-A especially when you see drive thrus jammed packed all over the area.

Popeyes went on to say that if you want to be notified as to when the insanity sandwiches go back on sale, download their app to be notified.
