Dear Roger Goodell,

First of all I hope that you are fine and you are doing well amid this COVID-19 pandemic.

I am an avid fan of the NFL and watch it religiously with my grandfather, and uncle since I was a young child and continued the tradition with friends and even my own two sons.

Even though I love the NFL and hope the season will resume once the COVID-19 pandemic get under control I have a serious problem with your hypocrisy in regards to racism and police brutality.

I find it interesting that you have silenced one of your premier players former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick when he did a silent protest by kneeling during the National Anthem to address police brutality you and the league black balled him from playing in the league.

The mere fact that you remained silent on police brutality and now after the Nation is turned upside down you have something to say?

My question to you is......Why now?

You could have been used your voice and this platform to join in with Kaep and addressed this matter with your players and owners of various teams to create a platform to address this, and now I call BS!

Mr. Goodell, I am angry!

I am angry because myself and the majority of other African-Americans have been trying to live our lives with peace and harmony with the expectations of achieving the so called "American Dream" only to have the harsh reality that we will never achieve this based on our skin color.

I guess when you saw the officer's knee on George Floyd's neck killing him while hearing "I can't breathe..." was the wake up call you really needed to see what Kaep was doing all along.

Not bad for a SOB like President Trump called him and other NFL players who took a knee in protest.

This is bigger than Kaep and I don't take you seriously Sir and as a matter of fact you owe him and the African-American community a HUGE apology and allow him back into the league either as a player of create a platform for him as a non-player and other NFL players to speak out against racism and police brutality.

I think that would be a great way to extend an olive branch for restoration.

You should really consider it otherwise I'll be more than happy to sit this season out and I am a HUGE Chicago Bears fan!

It's 4th and inches Mr. Goodell!  Which play will you call.....
