Somebody in Congress needs to hurry up and get us that stimulus money! My English teachers will cringe for me saying this, but where's that money at?!

I am sitting over here looking at my poor little bank account collecting dust. All of that previous stimulus money is G-O-N-E, gone!

If you were to ask me what I spent my stimulus money on, I could rattle off a list for you. I racked up on groceries, I bought my daughter, Willow, some new shoes, dresses, socks, underwear, I paid off some bills, I bought a new comforter, two new wigs, family portraits, an 8-qt crockpot, gas money, and a new TV on sale.

Yes, I know how to make my money stretch. I added the stimulus money to my income tax refund so I had a nice chunk of change. I felt RICH for the first time in a decade. All the stresses of modern-day life lifted off my shoulders for five straight months. It felt so good to not have to worry about having enough money to get something, do something, buy groceries, or order food delivery.

My bank account was FAT for months, but once it dipped below $900, then $800, then $300...that old morbid fear of being broke has crept its way back into my life. I know the solution to all of my problems is to get a second or third job, but ain't nobody got time for that! I would have to pay for child care, extra gas money, extra food, extra this, extra that. I ask myself, am I really trying to get another job only to spend that paycheck to survive trying to get it? It's not worth it to me!

A temporary solution for me while I am trying to get my bearings together to hit the pavement for part-time work is getting my hands on that cold, hard, stimulus check part DEUX!

I have seen in the news that Congress has locked heads over how much stimulus to divvy out (with the HEALS Act and the HEROES Act). President 45 and his Secretary of Treasury, Joe Mnuchin, say they want to give out $1200 per individual. I wonder if that includes children under 18 years old. If so, Willow and I are looking at a sizeable chunk of dough headed our way. We can buy her a new bed because she hates her old bunk bed (that I found on Facebook Marketplace for $100). We could get a new sofa because a leg is broken on the one we have, and it leans to one side (quite embarrassing when a neighbor stops over). We could afford to rent a cabin in the woods and have a Mommy-Daughter camp night. And I could prolong the "second job" search at least for another few months!
