Texas Maybe Open, But I’m Staying Inside
I need to get a few things off my chest!

I must admit that I am officially over the COVID-19 pandemic. I am tired of sitting in the house and practicing social distancing.
I wish medical professionals would find a cure or solution to end this so things can get back to normal, but as much as I hate dealing with the 'new normal' I refuse to put health at risk by going outside.
Today (May 1st) is the first day the state of Texas is officially off punishment since Gov. Abbott's 'Stay-at-Home' order has expired and allow businesses to open in phases, but as much as I am eager to go out in public I am not comfortable doing so and I'll explain.
When I go outside whether for drinks, movies, to eat whatever I like to enjoy the FULL amenities, but under the OPEN TEXAS booklet many essential and retail businesses will be operating at 25 percent during Phase 1.
A few of the businesses are listed below.
- Retail store
- Libraries
- Restaurants
- Museums
- Places of worship
- Malls
- Movie theaters
Think about it! 25 percent isn't a good number to reopen anything and as a matter of fact when my phone batter goes 25 percent or lower I'm looking for my charger because it's only a matter of time before the battery will go dead.
Not to mention EVERYBODY will be outside so most places I would like to go will most likely be at full capacity.
If you have cabin fever and need to go out please practice the following social distancing guidelines
- Washing your hands for 20 seconds
- Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
- Disinfect often especially places you touch like buttons, handles, doorknobs etc.
- Also if necessary stay at home.
However, if anybody need me I will be at home with my snacks and remote binge watching the latest TV show or movie!
I can't wait to social distance under my OWN terms.
How long it takes to binge 'The Office,' 'Game of Thrones,' and 50 other famous TV shows
