Tyler Man Arrested on Drug Charges
A Tyler man has been arrested on drug charges.
Dakota Ray Allen was arrested by deputies with the Smith County Sheriff's Office, according to EastTexasMatters.com. Allen was arrested March 7 after a sergeant spotted his car on Lavender Road. He was allegedly swerving and weaving in and out of traffic. A brief chase ensued. It ended when Allen crashed into a tree and tried to flee on foot. Deputies found approximately 2 lbs. of crystal meth. They also found over $7,000 in cash. Allen was booked into the Smith County Jail and is being held on $105,000 bail.
