Xscape’s Kandi Burruss Joins the Cast of ‘Chicago’ on Broadway

When Kandi Burruss told fans she was too busy to make new music with Xscape, the singer wasn't lying.

On Monday (Dec. 4), People revealed Burruss will be joining the cast of Chicago on Broadway on Jan. 15, 2018. Kandi's run in the musical will continue through March 11, 2018 and she will play Matron "Mama" Morton.

Kandi celebrated the news on Instagram, writing, "I can officially announce that i will be performing as Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway January 15th- March 11th!!!!! I’m so excited! Get your tickets now & check out the announcement on People.com #Thankful #Blessed #LivingMyBestLife #DreamsDoComeTrue."
