A Texas Mystery: DQ Sign Vanishes Again In Mineola
Police In An East Texas Town Are Investigating The Theft Of A Fast Food Restaurant Sign....Again.
The DQ commercial slogan goes "That's What I Like About Texas" and apparently that's a very true statement among not only law abiding Texans but criminals in the Lone Star State as well.
It may be a case of small town boredom or there's a "black market" out there for fast food restaurant signs but police in Mineola put the word out on social media that someone or a couple of people have made off with a Dairy Queen sign and the crazy part is, this isn't the first time its happened.
Mineola Police Posted The Details About It On Their Facebook Page.
According to a post from the Mineola Police Department, cops there took a theft report of the DQ sign being stolen from the Dairy Queen location at 220 W. Broad Street on August 14th.
The sign had been taken down during the remodel several years ago and was stored behind the store. The funny thing is, it was stolen before from the same location but whoever stole it, returned it. Maybe a guilty conscience took over, but the sign was then mounted to the side of the building behind Dairy Queen and left alone.
Until Someone Decided To Steal It Again.
Police report that the sign has been stolen once again so police are asking for the public's help in finding the sign. If anyone has any information in reference to this theft please contact Mineola Police at 903-569-6294.
We don't know why or what one would do with a GIANT DQ sign but let's help cops catch the culprit in this weird Texas mystery.
