Life has a way of teaching you lessons daily and the lesson I recently learned was “Life is too short.”

This is difficult to write because it hits close to home as I learned a good friend died over the weekend in a car accident.

From our media partner KLTV, Michelle Baumsteiger of Tyler died in a car accident Friday (October 5th) in Faulkner Park.

Tyler police said a medical condition could have led to the crash, but the investigation is still pending.

I met Michelle last year while having dinner with co-workers at Texas de Brazil in Tyler for their grand opening.

She was working the bar and all of us hit it off.

Her bright smile and bubbly personality kept us entertained as we enjoyed our experience and stayed in touch through social media.

She loved her son and was overall a good person.

I know death is a part of life and eventually we are all going to depart this earth.  However, to lose a friend or loved one suddenly is sometimes hard to deal with especially when they had so much life to live.

Nevertheless, I will keep my smile, don’t question God, and remember the good times.

May you rest in peace.
