Man Arrested In Rusk County, TX After Attempting To Steal Car
The Rusk County Sheriff's Office Shared Details About This Crime On Their Facebook Page.
Two East Texas police departments were summoned to a gas station after a man who caught someone attempting to steal his car was shot and the suspect took off afterwards.
The Incident Happened On Monday (Nov. 28th) Evening At Clayton's Convenience Store.
According to the Rusk County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 6:40 PM, the Sheriff's' Office received a 911 call from Clayton's convenience store located on Highway 322. The caller advised that a man had been shot at the store and the suspect had fled on foot.
Deputies from Rusk and Gregg County arrived on scene at 6:54 PM.
Because Clayton's sits right on the Rusk and Gregg County border, both departments made their way to the scene. The victim was treated and released at the scene and the victim advised officers that the suspect was attempting to steal his vehicle. It didn't take very long for police to find the suspect.
22-Year-Old Tyler Arryngton Wallace Was Arrested.
Arryngton, who has already been arrested 3 times earlier this year on other charges including assault of a pregnant person, was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Robbery. The Rusk County Sheriff's Office thanked the Gregg County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in capturing Arryngton.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
