Well, it's almost time to send the kids back to school. I know this upcoming time of the year can be stressful for parents who have to work new clothes and supplies into the monthly budget but it's also a very stressful time for teachers as well.

We all know that teachers are terribly underpaid and most are going to go into their own pockets to make sure their students are taken care of. Did you know that every year, school teachers in America will spend about $500 of their own money on school supplies, not for themselves, but for their students?

They shouldn't have to but they do it anyway, and I think it's wonderful that my friends at Stonewater Roofing are offering to help teachers in East Texas with these costs with their #ClearTheList drive! It's really easy for teachers to enter: They just need to make sure their Amazon Wish List is complete and share the link to it here by 8 p.m. July 31.

This is the third year in a row that Stonewater Roofing has participated in this project. As you can imagine, the teachers they supported never expected their lists to be cleared in one fell swoop; getting those big deliveries just made their day. (You can read it about here.)

So let's help Stonewater Roofing make as big an impact as possible by spreading the word about their program: Share this article with your kids' teachers and your friends who are teachers. Share it on your socials. Let's do our part to help make sure our local teachers have the tools they need to start school. And thank you, Stonewater Roofing, for helping our teachers, too.
