Texas Rap Legend Scarface Delivers Excellent Performance Behind A Desk
Houston Hip Hop Legend And Arguably One Of The Greatest Rappers Of All Time Has The Internet Talking About His Most Recent Performance.
If you love hip hop music then there's no denying that Brad Jordan AKA Scarface is one of rap music's greatest storytellers.
After a battle with COVID-19 that led to kidney failure in 2021 that nearly took his life, Scarface received a kidney from his son that saved his life and since then, the rapper has been making sure to receive his flowers from a very grateful hip hop nation.
Face is the latest rapper to perform for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Series.
The former member of iconic rap trio Geto Boys is joined by nearly a dozen backing musicians for a tight six-song set.
Rounding out the performance is longtime collaborator and Houston-based music producer Mike Dean on the Moog synthesizer. According to Tiny Desk producer Bobby Carter, Dean was a last-minute addition that helped turn the concert into one of the best ever recorded according to The Houston Chronicle.
Face Performed Several Classic Hits Including "My Mind Is Playing Tricks On Me".
During the set, Face, a musician and producer in his own right, picked up a guitar during a few songs and even got emotional as he shared stories about how some of the songs were created and his feeling on how music has an effect on him.
Its a phenomenal performance worth 30 minutes of your time. Check it out in the video above.
