An Update To A Story That Went Viral This Week: Boosie Clears Up His Austin Warrant.

After news spread that Boosie was wanted in Austin for theft of services, the rapper cleared things up and called the whole matter a "misunderstanding".

In a video interview posted by The Shade Room, Boosie says that a member of his team spoke with someone from the chauffeur service unbeknownst to him and came up with a payment agreement that he didn't know about.

He Went On To Add The Warrant Has Been Cleared By Police.

The DA’s Office confirmed the rejection of charges to KXAN, stating that restitution was paid and both parties were in agreement with the resolution. The services amounted to $8,800, according to court records but its unknown if that's the amount of restitution that was paid.

Boosie claimed in the video that he did social media promotions for the chauffeur company and a food company owned by the chauffeur driver’s wife, and he thought those were a trade-off for the chauffeur services. However, the affidavit noted that the chauffeur driver never agreed to that kind of payment deal.

According to a report from KXAN, 41-year-old Torrance Hatch is facing a charge of theft of service greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000. The charge is related to a June incident in which Hatch allegedly did not pay for chauffeur services that were provided to him over a few days. The charge was filed on Aug. 29.

A limo and chauffeur service company based in Austin claims it provided service to Hatch and several others from June 5 to June 7.

The company says it was contacted June 5 requesting a sprinter van for Hatch and others to be picked up from the Austin airport the same day. The affidavit said the chauffeur company did not receive an itinerary, but it drove Hatch and the others to several places and to do various activities over the three-day timespan.

The company alleged it never received payment despite being told in advance Hatch would pay in cash for the services. The affidavit also said the chauffeur driver asked Hatch and his manager about payment several times, and later sent Hatch an invoice for $8,800, which the driver reported was not paid.

Hatch is summoned to appear in court in Travis County on Oct. 28.
