December 1st, 2019 will mark 64 years since the fateful day that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus which sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the city of Tyler will pay homage to the civil rights icon.

Join the City of Tyler on Monday December 2nd, at the Tyler Rose Garden at 5:30 p.m. as they host the 4th annual event for the Mother of the Freedom Movement.

Speakers for the event include

  • Regina Moss: Assistant City Attorney for the City of Tyler
  • LaToya Young: Executive Director Tyler Area Business Educational Council
  • Virlinda Stanton: Recording Artist, Actress, Host and Motivational Speaker

The Emcee for the event is David Coble, the Fire Chief for the City of Tyler and the John Tyler High School Choir will be performing.

The event is free to the public and Pugh Refreshments will be served.
