R&B music icons will be honored in Nashville as the Bounce Network hosts the 3rd Annual Black Music Honors Ceremony this weekend.

Hip Hop Royalty YoYo checked in with me as one of the honorees was the legendary rap group Whodini.

Sharing the stage with her was fellow rappers Doug E. Fresh, Monie Love, and DJ Mell Star as they rocked the stage with classic renditions of the songs that made them famous.

Other honorees for the night was Stephanie Mills, Bobby Brown from New Edition, Faith Evans, BeBe and CeCe Winans, and Dallas Austin and there even was an All-Star tribute to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin.

The Black Music Honors celebrates artists who have helped shape black music and culture by inspiring new and emerging entertainers.

Check out the 3rd Annual Black Music Honors Sunday, September 30th at 11 a.m. Central on the Bounce Network.
