R. Kelly Breaks Silence With Gale King Amid Criminal Sexual Abuse Charges
R. Kelly has broken his silence during a television interview with Gale King over his most recent accusations that he had inappropriate relationship with underage girls.
According to CBS News, the interview aired this morning (March 6th) during CBS This Morning as Kelly told King the 4 charges which involve a woman and three underage girls are lies.
I had two cases back then that I said I wouldn't talk about because of my ongoing case now . . but I will tell you this. People are going back to my past. . . . They’re going back to the past and they’re trying to add all of this stuff now to that—to make all of the stuff that’s going on now feel real to people.
Gale responded to Kelly saying the past relevant to you because of you and underage girls and he said it’s not because he beat the case.
Kelly then gets emotional as he denied holding women against their will,
Forget the blogs. Forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, love me if you want to. But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and what I’ve been through. Oh, right now I just think I need to be a monster and hold girls against their will, chain ’em up in my basement and don’t let ’em eat and don’t let ’em out, unless they need some shoes down the street from they uncle. Stop it. Ya’ll quit playin’. Quit playin’. I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fightin’ for my fu**in’ life.
R. Kelly surrendered to Chicago police on February 22nd and was bailed out $100,000 bond.
His next court date is March 22nd.
