According to a press release we received, The Image Awards are recognized as the nation's preeminent multicultural awards show from an African-American perspective, the “53rd NAACP Image Awards” celebrates the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color across more than 80 competitive categories spanning film, television + streaming, music, literature, and podcasts.

R&B's biggest star H.E.R. is leading the pack with 7 nominations in various categories in music including "Outstanding Female Artist" & "Outstanding Album" just to name a few.
