Queen Latifah To Host Black Girls Rock In Her Hometown New Jersey

The season of Black Girl Magic is upon us again!

Hip Hop royalty Queen Latifah will be hosting the 2018 Black Girls Rock Awards in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey.

According to Vibe, Beverly Bond, who is the CEO, Founder and Creator of Black Girls Rock! said in a statement:

Queen Latifah is the epitome of black excellence, Hip Hop royalty, and black girl magic! She has been a longtime supporter of Black Girls Rock! and has been honored at both our televised and pre-televised shows. I’m so thrilled to welcome her back to the Black Girls Rock! stage as host.

The yearly event will be held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

The broadcast of Black Girls Rock will be filmed on Sunday, August 26th, and will air on BET on Sunday, September 9th, at 7 p.m. CT
