Remembering Hurricane Katrina
Today marks the 9th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The hurricane came through the Gulf Coast and devastated it so bad that damages are still being felt today.
In 2005 the city of New Orleans and surrounding areas were hit bad by Katrina. Thousand of people who didn't leave or were able to leave were trapped in New Orleans without power, food and clean water. Hurricane Katrina cause approximately $81 billion in damage and with more than 1,500 deaths in Louisiana.
